Finally a game that went ahead to everybody's delight. The game was a K.I.K.K game in true style were everything went a bit wacky. I was in bed, wrong players came, some players went home, Michelle had two right shoes & Sara had none. Leah managed to score not only once but twice and the keeper became unhappy. The other goal scorer asked to remain anonymous so she can surprise our opponents once again in our games to come. Our keepers gloves stinks but i guess it's a good thing. |

K.I.K.K started off with the wind in the back and pushed forward. The players did not play to their full ability and did not manage to create many opportunities forward but they defended well, unfortunately Fulham scored, 1-0, 30 min into the first half. In the second half the win had picked up and K.I.K.K had to fight against the wind with 1 goal in their back. The second half was a disaster with even fewer chanses for K.I.K.K to score than in the first half. Fulham Compton managed to get on the right side of the bouncy ball 15 minutes from the end and scored a second goal. K.I.K.K did loose this game, but will show Fulham Compton a different game of fottball next time. |

A close call. A team short of the ordinary players so many of us had to play in new and unfamiliar positions. This unfortunately lead to a horrible misunderstanding in the K.I.K.K defence during the first five minutes of the game, regarding the offside rule......and on top of the confusion a K.I.K.K player scored.......in own goal. 0-1 to Westside. K.I.K.K battled back but despite being on Westsides half most of the time the result was 0-1 in half time. Shortly into the second half Westside got a good ball at their feet in front of our keeper adn the ball went in behind her, 0-2. K.I.K.K started the play again and 15 min later Sophie came free made a nice dribble and passed the keeper and nice and easy put it in the net, 1-2. The game became fast and the wind increased....Westside got an unfortunate deflection from a K.I.K.K player, whic they managed to put behind our keeper, 1-3. Again K.I.K.K had to fight from beneath and after a bit of turbulence around the goal Jane kept her nerves and got the ball behind the Westside keeper, 2-3. It was a close game and could have gone either way but this time Westside got the points. |

Away, and K.I.K.K were missing some players, but despite that they played a good game. K.I.K.K made use of the field and all the players. The let the ball roll and work around the field and from time to time the made a few shots on goal. 6 went behind the keeper and gave K.I.K.K victory in the game. |

Home game agains a team that really wanted to see us go under ....... But did we, no, no, no! It was a great game Comets defended well and worked hard but did not manage to get a ball behind our keeper. K.I.K.K also worked hard and played some great football at times, and it gave us a 2-0 victory. |

Everybody remembered to change the clocks; despite the extra hour team players couldn't make it in time. Next year we wont remind people about the extra hour ;-p This year had a better start of them match. Referee appeared in time and nobody haunted us of the pitch. The rain was drizzling and K.I.K.K won the toss and kick started the game. 5 minutes in a great challenge then a second unfortunate challenge that ended in a lot of blood. South London had their first casualty, a broken nose? The game continued after the small interruption. The ground was fast and wet, our legs got dragged into the mud and it felt like the ball was covered in soap. 30 min into the second half a great ball was received on the left wing, one touch pass to the midfielder, another touch and Leah placed a great ball on Sophie’s feet who scored a great goal just inside the post, 1-0. Second half and the rain was still falling and the ground became heavy to run on. South London played a high defence and managed to get us into too many offside situations. The second half was full of free kicks, a few too many but finally in the first minute of extra time Leah got a great pass from the right wing, she grabbed hold of it, ran with it and finally fired, 2-0. The game ended with a 2-0 victory it was a great but hard playing game and K.I.K.K still needs to practice on their finishing skills. |

Don't really know what happened in this game but the gossip said that K.I.K.K United kicked of the game with one player short and in the middle of the 2nd half they were two players short. It seemed like too many K.I.K.K players booked there weekend off at the same time. But it was a fun game, the players enjoyed it and not too much body bruising the next day. |

Third game in the league. A beautiful autumn’s day and our team finally found their way to the sports ground. There was time for a warm up and some pep talk before the kick off against Westside Ladies. Straight after kick off K.I.K.K put pressure on Westside early and spent most of the first half on their half. K.I.K.K started to shoot early compared to our last game but some balls were outside the goal or straight on the keeper. After a light tackle K.I.K.K was awarded a penalty, but the keeper saved that one. It was 0 - 0 at half time and K.I.K.K re-charged with some oranges whilst the coach gave us dos and don’ts for the second half. K.I.K.K once again pressurised the opponents, we had most of the ball control but failed to score. 20 minutes into the second half Westside got a corner and another, and another and on the 5th corner the ball bounced around in the box and unfortunately it found its way to the back of our net. K.I.K.K started to feel the pressure and pushed even harder a few minutes later we got a corner, a head on that one and another head that resulted in a K.I.K.K goal, so with 15 minutes to go it was 1-1. The game continued in a good manner but did end 1-1. Westside had a good team who knew how to defend and stop us from getting to close to their keeper -Keep it up. There were some very strange decisions from the referee and it’s very surprising that he is aloud to referee in a Ladies league with such an attitude against ladies football. |

We were up against a depleted 9 woman Fulham, despite that and in a typical K.I.K.K fashion it took us a while to get going, there was a lot of nice play, but we weren't able to capitalise on our opportunites in front of goal and there were plenty of them. Cries of "SHOOT!" "SHOOT!" from Malin and Sara panicked us into displaying some quite "shocking shooting technique" ....n no goals. But 20 mins into the first half the floodgates opened and the goals kept coming. Jane got her first goal of the season with a spectacular facebook stylee "chest bump"! And odly for us, there were lots of headed goals, one for Leah, Sophie (her first ever) and a trademark power header from Joanna, but it was probably down to very nice corners and cross balls. Nurse Berg managed to get in on the scoring too...with a sliding tackle type shot after a through ball from Leah. Our defenders didn't have much to do defensively, but led by Veronica, there was a lot of "explosive" movement coming forward, especially from Carin on the right, who also was chosen woman of the match. All in all it was a great team effort! Poor Fulham though, they must have been knackered, they did well to keep going and were good sports throughout the thrashing. They also managed to get a well deserved goal behind our keeper as they spotted her too far out from the goal and put a nice and high ball unreachhable for the K.I.K.K keeper in the net behind her.
For those of you who didn't go to the pub afterwards, you missed out. It was memorable...I'm blaming my hangover on the 9 fingered chef!

First league game of the season, which apparently started very messy with regards to our team. Too many people had an apperently very good Saturday night and failed to be in time for kick off...... K.I.K.K started with 8 players against 11, Comets took their chance and aimed for a great victory and it was 2-0 at half time. K.I.K.K started their second half with 11 players and decided to put the 1st half behind them and start all over. 2-0 became 2-1. Unfortunately our goalkeeper got a bad hit on her head and lost her grip of reality. K.I.K.K's spare keeper got in between the posts and soon we equalised to 2-2 and before the game was over K.I.K.K put a final shot behind the Comet keeper and won 2-3. The nightmare was over and I'm sure the coach and the players who were at the pitch in time wish this won't ever happen again. |

A sunny Sunday and a great day for some football. K.I.K.K had a good and excited team ready to play some serious football as soon as Mr Hooker blew his whistle. K.I.K.K started off strong, spent most of their time on Battersea’s half. After 15-20 min K.I.K.K strike a good shot that passed by their keeper and took the lead, 1-0. The game continued on a very high level with good passing, play and tackles. Battersea got the ball up on our half, the defenders messed a few things up and they managed to equalise, 1-1. Coach Malin gave us some advice and tactics for the second half. The team got together for a second hug and then ready to play for another 45 minutes. 2 minutes in to the second half we got a free kick from half pitch, Leah got a nice kick, which aimed for Sara's head, perfect hit and score, 2-1. The high level of football continued, Battersea made some great runs but this time the defenders managed to break and keep the ball away. K.I.K.K managed to keep the ball on the ground to avoid the wind to get hold of it and played it up the field, found green feet that finally found the goal, another great kick and a goal, 3-1. 35 minutes into the second half our own defender glued the ball to her boots, made a run up the field, Battersea players seemed shocked as they were standing still watching V's progress and she made an excellent finish by scoring the fourth and last goal of the game. Great football, excellent refereeing and a good Sunday all together. Good luck to Battersea in their League and good luck to the K.I.K.K players in the second round. |

First game of the season, a Cup game and a great training game. There were two very strong teams up against each other. K.I.K.K opened the game strongly much time was spent on the Surbiton half but we never came to any finishing shots. Surbiton popped over on our half and fifteen minutes in they had a shot from the right that went behind our keeper. A fortunate shot for Surbiton but if you don't shoot you don't score. Something we learnt from this game. And it was 1-0 to Surbiton at half time. In the secon half K.I.K.K continued to push forward and created opportunities that did not get the finish it deserved. Surbiton got another shot on goal that unfortunately for us went in the net. Yet again Surbiton came over to our half and got a good shot from outside the box that also went into the back of the net and it was 3-0. K.I.K.K continued there was a lot of competetive and physical play on the pitch during the whole game and 25 minutes in Surbiton got a penalty, no dirty play but an unfortunate handball inside the area and they nailed their fourth goal. K.I.K.K didn't give up they tried to fight and defend but towards the end they were a bit knackered and I start to believe that we're not really doing the correct football exercises on our friday night happenings. It was a great game, the result does not reflect the game as it could have ended totally different but if you don's shoot you wont get the goals it's as simple as that. Thanx for the drink and good Luck to Surbiton for the new season. |
