Croydon Athletic v K.I.K.K

Another sunny sunday and a grand day for some football. This time K.I.K.K were unlucky with sick & injured players and unavailable keepers. Well well the show must go on so K.I.K.K started the first half with only 10 players and a midfielder in goal. K.I.K.K went out strong straight from kick off and 10 minutes in we scored a great goal from the outer area of the box, 1-0. K.I.K.K continued to push hard as we could not afford letting Croydon enter our half. 30 minutes in a great ball came through from the midfield, out to the left winger who easily lifted the ball over the keeper and to the back of the net, 2-0 at half time. Keeper swap and our scottish flyer arrived from the airport just in time for the second half. K.I.K.K had recharged the batteries and continued to push forward and our traveler managed to wack the ball into the goal and K.I.K.K was 3-0 up. K.I.K.K kept the ball on Croydon's half most of the time but sometimes the K.I.K.K keeper had to touch the ball. 25 minutes left of the second half one of the K.I.K.K striker's did a few dribbles and kicked the ball which passed the keeper and hit the back of the net, 4-0. The last fifteen minutes was tiring for K.I.K.K which showed during a Croydon attack. Their right winger came free with the ball, did a great cross to a running Croydon striker who headed the ball in the K.I.K.K goal and the final score was 4-1. Great but knackering game. Fabulous team work.

K.I.K.K v Surbiton Town

Fourth time lucky. Finally the first game between K.I.K.K and Surbiton was actually going to happen. Unfortunately all our goal keepers were away so one of our ordinary players had to get the top on and defend the goal. The game got going and K.I.K.K kept the pressure on and scored 1-0 pretty soon. Pressure was still on and 2-0 came along. Surbiton got over on our half and managed to get the ball in after a corner kick, 2-1. Then the game started to get a bit ugly a lot of pushing and dangerous kicks game K.I.K.K a penalty and the first half ended 3-1. The second half consisted more of free kicks than a game, which was a shame. Surbiton players were falling all over the pitch with or without a tackle. Surbiton got a lucky goal 3-2 and another one close to the end,
3-3. It was unfortunate. The score did not reflect the game but we will prove that next time ;o)

Wembley v K.I.K.K

Fabulous day for football, dry, warm and a happy sun. Less fabulous for travel, nightmare Sunday's but we made it in time for kick off. After a quick warm up the referee blew his whistle. K.I.K.K started the game in slow motion but had pressure on Wembley's half from the start. Finally our legs started to loosen up and we got going. After 15 minutes we got the first ball behind the keeper, a great turn and shot from the attacker. Second goal came closely after, quick throw in on a running midfielder who easily put the ball behind the keeper. No time for a rest K.I.K.K kept the pressure and nailed it again. Another opportunity not to be missed...a great shot from outside the box hit the back of the net. Just before half time our midfielder got a 5th goal behind the keeper. In the second half Wembley went out a bit stronger but K.I.K.K kept fighting back and scored on a great cross ball from the left wing. Wembley answered back with a few quick touches and a great shot that passed behind our own keeper. Wembley struggled a bit with injured players but kept on defending when K.I.K.K was holding on to the ball on their half. A few minutes was left of the game a great ball came through from the defence via the midfield, some advanced dribbling and alone with the keeper the K.I.K.K player got the final goal in the net.

Third time lucky with regards to a game. Oh no, no, no. Not today either, this is becoming a joke...not a very funny one.

I will take this opportunity to thank the whole team, their partners friends and family for their dedication and co-operation, everybody have managed to stayed away from sex, alcohol and mad parties for the past five days' in preparation for this game, and I don't know if that will ever happen again. I can only apologise but we did try to re-arrange the game and play at home in Regent's Park but unfortunately the Surbiton Girls was reluctant to take the train in to the city of London......

A morning with light rain but so far the pitches in Regent's Park was fit for games. K.I.K.K United had a good side warming up on muddy half. The game started with a K.I.K.K kick off and we pressurized Wembley who didn't get a pair of shoes over on our half in the first 20 minutes. We had a fair few shots and finally one got behind the keeper and we were 1-0 up. Not long after we managed to get a second ball in the net, 2-0. Wembley then turned around got a very good touch and go play up and in some way the shot passed our keeper and there was a 2-1 result. K.I.K.K became a bit low after this and slowed down our previous good phase. Half time, battery recharged and K.I.K.K started the first half fully determent to get a few more goals and an excellent ball down the right side with a great finnish easily passed the keeper, 3-1. Why stopping now............20 minutes later we had a beautiful passing game and scored 4-1. By now Wembey was out of breath so we played around a bit a scored a final goal so the game ended with a 5-1 victory.

Unfortunately the referee who confirmed the game on friday denied he knew anything about it. Calling around on a saturday morning to try to find another one was like hoping the ice cream would still be frozen after an hour in an hot sauna...... Thankfully Wembley offered one of their Crew to referee which we appreciated. Thanks and well done!

Before we even set off for the game players called in sick due to a stomach bug, so it felt like we weren't off to a good start as we thought we might be a player short. But that was wrong we had 11 players for the kick off, which was great. K.I.K.K got in straight away and pushed the team onto Comet's half early in the game. After ten minutes we got a nice ball down the left wing and a beautiful shot that hit the back of the net, 1-0 up. Half an hour later Comet got the ball made a run and shot which got past our goal keeper and the first half ended 1-1. A bit of pep talk and positive words was shared between the players during the break. A refreshed team kicked off the second half and less than ten minutes in one of our players made a great run with the ball but a nasty foot came out and put an end to the run within the box. Our player went off with a painful knee unable to take the penalty, but Sara did not disappoint. A well placed ball made it 1-2. And we were one player down. Five minutes later Comet got a free kick on our half which unfortunately and with a bit of comet luck ended up behind our keeper and made it 2-2. K.I.K.K really needed to take charge and play football we were not even second on some balls and still a player down. Twenty minutes into the game we got a great chance and netted a third ball so with 2-3 we decided to push up and make the most of it and our injured player made a return. By now, what had been missing to this point in the game had returned. We played very nice football touch and go all the time...booooffff 2-4. Once again pass, pass, touch, go and goal 2-5. Then a great shot, a re bounce from the post which hit Raquel's foot and bang 2-6. It was a different Comet's this time so watch out they can be scary ;-)but our supporters got value for their money and maybe I should put some GTN spray in our first aid bag.....just in case we have another scary game.

At the moment it sucks being in London playing football, or trying to get a game played. When it snows London comes to a standstill, when there are heat waves London comes to a complaining halt and when it rains football players have to suffer.....it's not fair. Oh well, fingers crossed for next weekend and a sun dance at training should do the trick.

BA offered a gorgeous day and ground. The best pitch so far and it was great to play on. K.I.K.K decided to get going as soon as the whistle was blown. It took approximately 10 minutes for us to get warm and make things work but then there was a corner and 1-0. We kept it all up and got another corner, 2-0 and another one 3-0. We spent alot of time on the BA's half so another ball hit the back of the net. BA had a great opportunity to score on a free kick in the first half but K.I.K.K's stand in keeper made an awesome save, which was great for us. In the second half BA dropped down pretty much the whole team to defend their goal. K.I.K.K had a lot of ball on their half but we didn't really manage to shoot which means no goals. Good effort and a great team work.

The game kicked of 15 minutes late. K.I.K.K put BA under pressure straight away with some nice passing. Sara got a nice shot which the keeper couldn't hold on too. 1-0 half way into the first half but then we became a bit disorganized for a short while, but we managed to get back on track with a nice ball down the left wing and a cross into the box where Sophie did a glorious turn and netted the ball on a volley. In the second half BA had recharged their batteries and put us under pressure but the defenders kept their nerves and played the ball up field and we were soon back on BA's half. 30 minutes into the second half a nice touch to the ball that went to Vanessa who put the ball behind the keeper in a very cool manner. BA was a well organized team, their defensive play made it a bit hard for us......so now we know what we need to practice on during training.

A sunny morning, slight chilly in the air and K.I.K.K met by the hub in the park, got changed and started to prepare their body's for the first competitive games of the season. K.I.K.K started of a bit sluggish with the only sub still in transit between her home and the pitch. Sophie scored our first goal in a three to one situation and she didn't score because she's good she scored because she's stubborn. Then Michelle got a nice ball which she put behind the goalie with her knee. 2-0 in half time. Malin did not give us to many compliments to feel proud about and we really needed to start to play our football to make good things happen. We started the second half a bit better than the first one and scored a third goal quite early . Comets hit back in a corner situation, it got all messy in front of the goal and a comet foot managed to get it passed our keeper. By now K.I.K.K was hanging their heads even though the sun should have kept our spirits up but a quick pep talk by the center circle got everybody to focus and lift their heads. We were fighting and played some really good football at times. A good team effort and fast passing resulted in 4-1 from the girl who can't score?! We started to have fun and scored again and again. Then we had a laugh and scored a last one. Game ended 7-1 and as a treat we went to Wagamama! It was not our best game this season....think we blame it on Santa, food and the drinks...seems fare.

Thanx for inviting the team for a friendly in aim to get rid of some christmas food. Unfortunately some people called in sick in the morning but we managed to get 11 players to the pitch. A great effort from Ingeborg, Joanna, Raquel and Michelle who took their turns in goal. The first half started of a bit wobbly and disorganized but we got things together and talked fairly well on the pitch. The second half we got a bit more determined to create space and options which resulted in one goal for K.I.K.K Dynamo did not want to loose this game so they stepped up a little bit and evened the score. It was a great game good fun to play 'unknown' teams to see where we stand. Good Luck Dynamo for the second part of your season.

Awful morning, rain and thunder in Central London but a little bit brighter in Clapham. All the other games in the division was cancelled but not ours... Teams were ready to kick of at 13.30 and the referee ready to blow his whistle when the grounds man came on to tell us that we were on the wrong pitch . We had to move as the pitch were in a too good condition for us and the other pitch that we were meant to be on was also smaller. Talk about discrimination of ladies football. After a bit of tumult we finally got to the third proposed pitch but by now our referee had kicked off another game, so we had to haunt down somebody to ref our game. Well well, with some lady power and shaving gel we got it all sorted and could finally kick of on a small and fantastically muddy pitch.........thanx for this boys!

A few minutes in K.I.K.K got a 1 - 0 lead. We continued to slip about and destroy the little bit of grass that was left and scored another 3 goals in the first half. Our Viking blood continued to boil in the second half and we managed to get another 3 goals in and another 10 around the goal frame on the outer sides. The game finished 7 - 0 just before it got totally dark and we were drenched in mud from top to toe.

Bright and early as usual. The team was well up for this game which was shown during the warm up and shooting practice. The referee blew his whistle and the ball was rolling. K.I.K.K had a good pressure and played some nice football but didn't really manage to shoot on target but after 20 minutes we got the first goal in. Not long after Croydon Athletic managed to reduce to 1 - 1 with a nice ball just under the cross bar .....impossible for the keeper to get hold of. This was the kick in our buts we needed to focus and get out there to work hard to win. We scored a second goal after 35 minutes and then a third and a fourth. At half time we were 4 -1 up but we knew we had to continue to work hard to keep it up as Croydon Athletics had a few dangerous and good players. K.I.K.K started the second half strong, not long in there was another goal which made it 5 - 1. Croydon was still fighting and gave us a good game but despite their effort K.I.K.K managed to get a sixth goal behind their keeper. K.I.K.K then got a bit disorganized and made some mistakes but our keeper was on the ball and sealed the second half.

A lunch time kick of on a sunny autumn day. Both Katabella & K.I.K.K were ready for their last battle in the league for this year. And the referee had his sunglasses on, as what we thought, to be able to see what was going on but despite this he missed some blunders. K.I.K.K had a great attack within the first few minutes and the referee did not get himself down to the goal area so he disallowed a goal as he was totally unable to see that the keeper took it out from the goal. But ok as he did the same mistake for Katabella. K.I.K.K was mainly in the Katabella side but did not manage to shoot many balls that actually hit within the goal frame area....... Katabella scored 1 - 0 during the first half on a re bounce of their corner. In the second half K.I.K.K mostly owed the game they finally managed to equalized to 1 -1 they continued to make attempts to score but no, no. The ball went everywhere except in. But that's life sometimes. The game finished 1 - 1. And the referee refereed the game his way...... Allowance to fail throws as referees allows fail throws in the premiere ship.....what a cool attitude, we thought the the laws of the game was there to be followed not the failures in the premiere ship games....

It was a cold but nice morning with thousands of runners in the park. The temperature picked up as the sun was rising over pitch five in Regent's Park. K.I.K.K had a full and enthusiastic team ready to play some good football. Even our goal keeper made it in time this time..... K.I.K.K started of strong with focus on the ball a forward movements. 1-0 came after a few minutes thanx to a very slippery ball. We soon made 2-0, 3-0 & 4-0 due to good effort and beautifully passing and playing the ball. Then we got in to a sunday dreaming lazy hangover state and lost our pace a bit. Fulham got a free kick just outside the box and put it nicely behind our keeper that made it 4-1. Just before half time we got another ball behind the keeper (5-1). In the second half we made some substitutions and continued to strive forward and we managed to get two more balls behind the keeper in the second half and won the game 7-1.

A slight nightmare to get there. No trains......busses and a lot of traffic but we made it, almost all of us ............unfortunately not our Goal keeper who was lucky enough to get stuck in a tail of cars behind a burning lorry. A quick re-think and reorganization which K.I.K.K is pretty used to so we made it once again. We came up with a good constellation. A couple of good attacks and shots on, beside and over the goal but not inside.......not in the first half that ended 0-0. New tactics was brewing half time which was put into place 15 minutes in to the second half just after Corinthian Casuals hade scored their first goal. A few minutes later K.I.K.K focused and dashed in their first goal. It was a great effort from the whole of the team who played very well but it was an even greater effort to try to get home...................... Slutet gott, allting gott!

Early morning kick off and the rain was waiting to pour down when we wanted it the least. K.I.K.K had once again a good squad on paper and the game kicked of with a shouting Larry in goal. K.I.K.K was fairly disorganized and not many goals were going their way. The team looked weaker than it had to as many players got a new position on the pitch that unfortunately didn't work out well. 3 handballs, 11 off sides and 0-0 after the first 45 minutes. South London Woman managed to get the ball behind the K.I.K.K keeper after some miscommunication in the defense. 30 minutes into the second half the team got re-shaped and two minutes later it was 1-1. It was a good game and fair play. South London should have credit for their off side play that messed us up a bit but we will be back for next game. Aware of the trix of the trade and a re-shaped tom from the start.

Instead of climbing up another step for te second half K.I.K.K took a step down and went in to some kind of an early lunch break. London women got three goals in that half and K.I.K.K was not able to match that so this was the end in the County Cup for us but now we can focus on the league instead.

K.I.K.K started of a bit wobbly, as always, but the sun was in our eyes.... Jane managed to net one ball in the first half.

At half time we made two changes and Malin gave a nice speech and our aim was to be number one on the ball, win everything and score. 10 minutes in to the second half Sophie scored 2 - 0 and saved her place on the pitch. A beautiful corner that the K.I.K.K players missed but Katabella helped us to get a third goal, thanx for that. Then a luvley ball from the midfield came trough to Michelle who put the ball nicely behind the keeper and close to full time Sara managed to get the fifth and last ball in the goal.

Half time and after a good coaching talk K.I.K.K was determend to turn this around and not long into the second half K.I.K.K scored 2 - 1 and soon there was a 2 - 2 result. Katabella started to hang their heads and K.I.K.K continued to strive forward despite this Katabella got a free kick outside the box which they used well. A beautiful free kick that went straight into the goal. 3 - 2 for Katabella and 15 minutes to go. K.I.K.K had not given up they gave everything and scored 3 - 3 which meant extra time when the wisthle went.5 minutes into extra time K.I.K.K scored 3 - 4 and the team worked hard for 25 minutes and when Ms Dixon blown the final whistle K.I.K.K were the winners.
